20th-30th April 2026 – Brera Botanical Garden, during the Milan Design Week

Via Fiori Oscuri 4

From 20th to 30th April 2026, the Brera Botanical Garden hosts the installation Garden of the Hesperides,by Annabel Karim Kassar for ANNAKA with Rubner Haus, ABS Group in the context of INTERNI MATERIAE, the new exhibition-event of FuoriSalone 2026.

In the Brera Botanical Garden, the works engage with existing nature, intertwining design and landscape in a delicate balance between human intervention and natural processes.

Here, French-Lebanese architect Annabel Karim Kassar recreates an authorial vision of the mysterious garden lost at the end of the world narrated in classical legends. Garden of the Hesperides reinterprets the classical myth of the garden of the golden apples.

The work features a large wooden portico, surrounded by icons dedicated to the Hesperides nymphs arranged in geometric circles. The installation combines mythology, art, and architecture, evoking the themes of time, eternity, and mystery.

The arboretum also hosts the Irritec installation with Davison, which focuses on responsible innovation through materials, technologies, visual impact, and respect for the environment.

It’s like a fairytale flower garden, made with polyethylene pipes (an Irritec patent) and recycled fabric for the petals. A system of mirrors reflects the brilliant colors of the petals and stems, capturing the light to make their beauty shine.
